When we first proposed this location to the couple, they fell in love with it instantly: they immediately sensed that suspended magic that only San Galgano Abbey (Abbazia di San Galgano) can radiate. Hasret and Samuele were looking for a place that spoke of eternity, and this open-air cathedral, with its towering Gothic walls, was the perfect answer.
As luxury wedding planners in Italy, we worked to enhance the sacred nature of the site, where the myth of the sword in the stone meets a raw and powerful architectural beauty. It wasn’t just a wedding, but an immersive experience in legend, where time stood still to celebrate their love.
Wedding Reception at San Galgano Agriturismo
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued at the San Galgano Agriturismo, located just steps from the abbey. This venue offered the perfect balance between the elegance of the ceremony and the authenticity of a rustic Tuscany wedding.
Surrounded by the rolling greenery of the Sienese countryside, the Agriturismo welcomed guests with a warm, convivial atmosphere where every detail celebrated the raw beauty of the Tuscan land.
Tuscan Flavors: An Authentic Reception Feast
We designed a Tuscan-style buffet that highlighted the finest local products: from boards of artisanal, hand-cut cured meats to traditional tomato focaccia, and Pienza cheeses accompanied by honey and preserves. Everything was arranged in a rustic-chic style, using wooden crates, wicker baskets, and potted aromatic herbs like rosemary and basil.

Final Dinner with Fireworks over San Galgano Abbey
The evening culminated in a breathtaking outdoor dinner, where the warm glow of candlelight created a timeless atmosphere. The most magical moment was undoubtedly the cake cutting: as Hasret and Samuele toasted to their future, the sky above San Galgano lit up with a spectacular fireworks display.
